Slips, Trips and Falls Prevention Training

Slips, trips and falls are the most common cause of workplace injuries in Australia, accounting for almost 22% of all serious workers' compensation claims. Six out of ten of these injuries result in at least a week off work, with knees, ankles and backs the most frequently affected body parts. The good news is that most slip, trip and fall incidents are preventable. This course gives every worker the knowledge to identify hazards before they cause harm - from wet floors and poor lighting to trailing cables and uneven surfaces. You will learn the hierarchy of control measures and how to apply practical solutions in your own workplace. The course also covers your legal responsibilities under Australian Work Health and Safety law. Both employers and workers have duties to ensure workplaces are free from slip, trip and fall hazards so far as is reasonably practicable. Completing this training demonstrates your organisation's commitment to a safe workplace and provides documented evidence of staff awareness for audits and compliance reviews. It is suitable for all industries and all roles.
